The Muslim Brotherhood and the Sudanese Army: A History of Rumor-Mongering
One of the most significant traits of the Muslim Brotherhood as a transnational terrorist group is that they directly exploit any chaos and war in any Arab country to throw baseless accusations, fabricate lies, and create rumors. Additionally, the Muslim Brotherhood is an extremist movement that opposes anything that serves and benefits people.
Now, in Sudan, a war has devastated the land and the population, presenting a painful scene of the suffering of millions due to the intensifying fighting, lack of security, and spread of epidemics. However, the Muslim Brotherhood, known in Sudan as the “kizan,” live in a completely parallel world, a world preoccupied with insulting others, slandering supporters, and attacking rescuers.
The Muslim Brotherhood now sees the war in Sudan not only as a political and military crisis but as a historical opportunity to return to the political scene, even if it means further dividing an already fragmented Sudan.
The extremist hates the moderate, the liar envies the truthful, the failures oppose the successful, and the Brotherhood members are an extremist faction to which all these descriptions apply. Moreover, the Sudanese Brotherhood‘s goals now surpass their dark history, such as their alliance with Al-Qaeda when they hosted Osama bin Laden and their collaboration with Iran when they handed over the port of Suakin, among other severe threats posed by the leaders of this extremist organization.
