The Muslim Brotherhood congratulates the Islamic Action Front on the results of the parliamentary elections in Jordan

The Muslim Brotherhood, known as the “Istanbul Front,” extended its congratulations to the Islamic Action Front Party in Jordan for the significant victory the party achieved in the recent parliamentary elections.

In a statement signed by Mahmoud Hussein, the acting General Guide of the Muslim Brotherhood, the group said: “We ask God to guide them in fulfilling their duties at this critical time by supporting the Palestinian cause and providing all forms of assistance, as has always been the case with the noble people of Jordan.”

The Muslim Brotherhood also emphasized that the victory of the Islamic Action Front Party, “the political wing of the Brotherhood in Jordan,” is indicative of the pride that Arab and Muslim peoples have in their identity and their choice of those who strive to preserve it and defend holy sites, foremost among them the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque.

The preliminary results from the vote counting in the Jordanian parliamentary elections, which took place on Tuesday, revealed a notable advance for the Islamic Action Front Party, whose candidates secured (32) seats so far, after around half a million votes were counted.

According to the preliminary results, the Islamic Action Front Party candidates won around (18) seats on the party lists, in addition to making significant gains on local lists, securing approximately (14) more seats.
