The Reality of the Treatment of Iran’s New Supreme Leader in One of Putin’s Complexes in Russia

The new Iranian Supreme Leader is surrounded by significant ambiguity, amid growing speculation about his health condition and whereabouts, while his true fate remains an unresolved mystery that has yet to be confirmed.

According to a report published by the Kuwaiti newspaper Al-Jarida, Khamenei was reportedly transferred to Moscow aboard a Russian military aircraft to receive medical treatment after being injured during American and Israeli strikes.

According to the same report— which has not been confirmed by either Russia or Iran— the injuries sustained by Mojtaba Khamenei on the first day of the war required his transfer to a well-equipped hospital. He is currently said to be recovering after undergoing surgery at a special medical facility linked to one of Russian President Vladimir Putin’s compounds.

The war between the United States and Israel on one side and Iran on the other has now entered its third week. The fate of Mojtaba Khamenei, the son of the late Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, remains unclear.

Reports have continued to emerge claiming that Khamenei’s son, aged 56, who succeeded his father after his death on February 28, is in a coma. Among these claims is a statement by U.S. President Donald Trump asserting that he “is not alive.”

Reports also suggest that Khamenei appears to be unaware of the ongoing war and of the fact that he has become Iran’s new Supreme Leader.

While Russia and Iran have not confirmed this information, Al-Jarida stated that its information came from “a high-level source close to the new Iranian Supreme Leader.”

The newspaper quoted the source as saying that Iranian security services are particularly concerned that the location of Khamenei’s son could be exposed by tracking the doctors and specialists responsible for his treatment. For that reason, they reportedly agreed with the recommendation that he should receive treatment in Russia.

The source further claimed that the Russian president personally proposed that Mojtaba receive treatment in Russia during a phone call with his Iranian counterpart, Masoud Pezeshkian, last Thursday.

“Mojtaba Has Lost a Leg”

This comes after the British newspaper The Sun reported that the new Supreme Leader, Mojtaba Khamenei, had assumed control despite sustaining serious injuries in an airstrike.

Based on the British newspaper, the new leader reportedly lost at least one leg and also suffered severe damage to his stomach or liver.

It remains unclear whether he was injured on the same day his father, aged 86, was killed.

In an apparent attempt to conceal Mojtaba Khamenei’s injury, Iranian state television broadcast what it claimed to be his first statement since assuming power.

The statement, read by a news presenter, declared that Iran would not hesitate to “avenge the blood of the Iranians” who had been killed and pledged to continue attacks and to close the strategic Strait of Hormuz.

A source told The Sun last week from the Iranian capital, Tehran, that the new Supreme Leader is currently in intensive care at Sina University Hospital.
