The Taliban meeting showed the ugly face of the Afghan regime
In vain.. This is how thousands of religious and ethnic leaders gathered under the Taliban administration yesterday in Afghanistan. The extremist movement demanded that foreign governments officially recognize its government, but it did not indicate any change in international human rights demands, specifically Afghan women, who are suffering greatly at the hands of the Taliban authorities.
Dark tunnel
American CNBC network confirmed that the meeting was held at a time when the Afghan economy entered a dark tunnel, where Western governments withdrew the funds and imposed severe sanctions, saying: The Taliban government needs to change course in the field of human rights, especially women. In this regard, the meeting participants said in a statement: “We call on regional and international countries, especially Islamic countries, to recognize the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, abandon all sanctions, disburse the funds of the central bank, and support the development of Afghanistan.”
The US network continued that the leader of the movement joined the three-day meeting, which was attended by more than 4,000 men and without a female representation, then made a speech in which he congratulated the participants on the victory of the Taliban and stressed the independence of the country, and announced that all schools will be opened in March, which caused tears for many girls attending secondary schools and drew criticism from Western governments. In the speeches broadcast by state television, a small number of participants raised the education of girls and women. The world was demanding government and inclusive education, but it will take time.
Extremist state
The Afghan government meetings revealed the shape of the state and the new age of darkness for Afghanistan after the movement sent messages to the whole world that its repressive racist state would continue according to the US network.
The group’s supreme leader, Hibatullah Akhundzada, who is based in the southern city of Kandahar and rarely appears in public, said: He said that the Afghan government will not interfere in neighboring countries and that no one should interfere in Afghan affairs. The American network confirmed that the meeting held by the movement reflected the shape of the next Afghan state, an extremist state without any female representation, girls’ education, or acceptance of the other opinion.
