The Thinnest Model: iPhone 17 Air Expected to Launch Next September
Tech expert Mark Gurman, known for his accurate predictions about Apple, confirmed that the iPhone 17 Air will debut in September 2025 with a thickness of just 5.5 mm.
This new model will not only be the thinnest but might also serve as a prelude to the long-awaited foldable iPhone.
According to Gurman, the iPhone 17 Air will feature some of the technologies Apple is developing for this future device, whose details remain unclear.
The model is expected to include a single rear camera and possibly a smaller battery. Reports suggest it will not have a physical SIM card slot, relying solely on eSIM technology. Additionally, it will feature just one speaker located in the earpiece.
The phone is rumored to come with an A19 chip, 8 GB of RAM, and a screen size of approximately 6.6 inches. It will also support new AI features Apple plans to introduce with iOS 19.
As for the price, rumors suggest that the iPhone 17 Air may cost around $1,299, making it the most expensive model in the iPhone 17 lineup.
