U.S. President Donald Trump has described Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s trial as a “ridiculous political witch hunt,” stating that America saved Israel and will also save him.
In a post on the “Truth Social” platform, Trump called for the immediate halt of the trial or the granting of a pardon, describing Netanyahu as a “national hero” who led Israel through its “greatest historical moments.”

Trump said he was shocked to learn that Netanyahu had been summoned to court on Monday over a 2020 case involving alleged gifts, including “cigars and a Bugs Bunny figurine,” calling the case “absurd and unfair.”
