UAE continues to support Sudanese; details
The United Arab Emirates has called on the international community to intensify its support to Sudan to alleviate the plight of those affected by the climate crisis.
UAE Deputy Ambassador to the United Nations Amiera Al-Hefeiti said during a session of the council on Sudan: The international community should intensify its support to Sudan to alleviate the plight of those affected by the climate repercussions, stressing her country’s commitment to provide relief assistance through the air bridge it recently launched to support the victims in Sudan, as well as its support for the aspirations of the Sudanese people and its renewed commitment to the sovereignty, independence, territorial integrity and national unity of Sudan, WAM reported.
The United Arab Emirates has continued its relief and humanitarian efforts on the Sudanese scene, within the relief airlift that it has completed to help the brothers affected by the floods and floods. The UAE Red Crescent field teams have distributed food baskets and shelter materials to the most needy affected families in the villages of the Banduggio Unit in Al-Gadarif State, eastern Sudan, benefiting more than 7,000 people, who are living in difficult conditions as a result of the flooding of their homes, fields and the death of their livestock as a result of the floods and the heavy rains that have caused a humanitarian disaster and the loss of life and property.
UAE aid to the people of Bangui, who were stranded by the humanitarian disaster, was delivered by small rail boats and trucks that had difficulty reaching the residents of the affected village.
