Violent winter storm kills 3 in America.. and 890,000 homes without power

A powerful winter storm swept through parts of the United States on Tuesday, causing tornadoes in the south and resulting in the death of three people, according to local authorities.

Strong winds and snowstorms hit the northern part of the country, leaving hundreds of thousands of homes without electricity.

Heavy rains caused floods, and strong winds with speeds likely exceeding 80 kilometers per hour, along with thunderstorms, hit the East Coast of the United States, according to the National Weather Service.

New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy warned in an interview with local media not to underestimate the danger of the storm, describing it as “unusual.”

Deteriorating weather conditions led to redirecting the flight path of Vice President Kamala Harris’s Air Force Two to Dallas International Airport in Virginia, instead of landing at Andrews Air Force Base in Maryland.

At least three people were killed in the storm that hit the southern United States, according to local authorities.

This winter storm also caused significant snowfall in the northern Midwest, gradually affecting the Great Lakes region, according to the National Weather Service.

Power outages affected more than 890,000 homes by Tuesday evening, especially in the eastern part of the country, according to a tracking website.

In the United States, as in other regions of the world, weather forecasting has become more challenging due to climate change.
