WhatsApp users now can secretly leave a group
In its latest update, the instant messaging service informs that it is now possible to leave a group conversation without alerting the members.
If you liked to leave with great fanfare groups on Whatsapp after an argument, know that it is over. The application unveiled the planned changes a few days ago via its new update. Now only the administrators of each group will be able to see that a member has left a group.
A novelty that divides
Since May already, the announcement of this new feature has been circulating and previews were already visible on several specialized sites. The application of the Meta group therefore removes today any possibility of leaving a group in a theatrical way. And that does not necessarily please everyone: “We can no longer leave a group? What will be the purpose of leaving it suddenly?”.
For some, however, the novelty may be welcome. Users have been asking for this feature for several years.
Other than this novelty, Whatsapp also offers, among other things, the possibility for admins to delete messages for everyone and for members to see who deleted it. These new features add to a long list of changes from Whatsapp, which in recent months has allowed its users to be able to react to messages with emojis (messenger-style), make video calls to 32 people but also hide from some people his last time of presence on the application.
However, the latest announced features have not appeared on all devices and should be available in the coming weeks.
