With the upcoming iPhone update, Apple is abandoning these devices

According to tech reports, the new operating system that Apple is preparing to launch in July will be exclusive to users of the latest phones, while older phones released before 2017 will not benefit from it.

According to “CNET,” the anticipated operating system, “iOS 17,” which will come with several features, will be limited to devices that came after the “iPhone X,” such as the “iPhone XS” and subsequent models.

However, phones released before the “iPhone XS” will not be able to use the new operating system and will have to continue working with “iOS 16.”

If an iPhone user is eligible to benefit from this new operating system, they will receive a notification when it is released in July.

Apple has traditionally made significant updates exclusive to users of the latest phones only, a move that analysts say aims to boost sales of the new models, even if many of them do not come with new and revolutionary features.

The new operating system is expected to allow voice and video messages on the “FaceTime” app, as well as faster file sharing, either by bringing two iPhones closer together or with the “Apple Watch.”

The operating system also allows for the “standby” mode, which displays various data on the device’s screen while it is charging.

In the same vein, the new operating system will introduce the “Memories” app to encourage users to document their memories, and they will receive notifications to assist them in doing so, while fully respecting their privacy.
