Yemen: The Houthis are turning Jerusalem into an instrument to raise money for the Houthis

The Houthi terrorist militia has framed the Palestinian cause as a fundraising tool to support their absurd war in Yemen, in conjunction with the complicity and support of Palestinian factions for the Iranian-backed movement.

The support of the Palestinian factions, led by Hamas, Islamic Jihad, the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine, and Fatah, to the Houthis in Yemen, was evident recently when both Islamic Jihad and the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine issued statements criticizing the raids launched by the coalition forces on targets in Yemen, which caused deaths and injuries among the Houthis.

Islamic Jihad was not limited to its statement of solidarity with Yemenis and a critic of the Arab Alliance, in which it said: The strikes were deliberately launched against civilians by U.S. aircraft, possibly with the participation of Israeli aircraft, and even organized a mass rally in Gaza City, raising pictures of Abdul-Malik al-Houthi, who leads the anti-coalition Yemeni side.

The Houthis raised tens of millions of riyals under the slogan “Supporting the Palestinian Cause”, but the money did not reach Palestine but served the Houthi-led war in Yemen, but he used the name Palestine to gain the sympathy of the people.

Observers said it was unreasonable for Yemenis to raise funds for Palestine at a time when Yemen is suffering from what the UN considers the world’s worst humanitarian crisis.

Well-informed sources revealed that militia leaders stole large sums of money, which is the result of what they collected from these donations. Militia leaders confiscated and stole a large part of this money after it was transferred by the so-called Voluntary Committee for the Support of Palestine to special secret accounts.

Houthi militias have launched massive campaigns to raise funds and taxes, allegedly to support the Palestinian people, in an effort to finance what they call the war effort to continue their war against the Yemeni people.

Earlier, observers said: “When the Houthis took control of the capital Sana’a seven years ago, they canceled all charities that were officially raising funds for the people of Palestine, confiscated and closed their premises, and accused some of those charities of stealing money collected in the name of al-Quds, Palestine, and the resistance, even though some of these associations were run by the Palestinian resistance”.
