Yemeni man kills his mother and reports police of a strange matter
A Yemeni man murdered his mother in the temporary capital of Aden on Tuesday before going to report to the police, claiming that his mother had committed suicide by hanging herself.
Aden police stated that they “arrested the son, who later confessed to killing his mother by hanging her at their home in the Al-Mudhara area, northeast of Aden.”
In a statement issued, they added that “the son informed the police station of his mother’s death, claiming she had hanged herself under mysterious circumstances.”
Authorities descended upon the crime scene to conduct investigations, gather witness statements, and discovered signs of assault on the body of the victim, who was 65 years old.
The police confirmed they “arrested the son and will continue to investigate the motive behind the crime, completing all legal procedures to hand him over to the competent authorities.”
