500 dinars… Tunisian woman sells her baby that she gave birth without marriage

Tunisian security arrested a woman who sold her baby 500 dinars (about US$180) after giving birth without marriage.

After receiving information from the security unit that a woman was at the regional hospital in Kasserine, she gave birth without marriage and sold her baby to a woman with the help of an employee in one of the departments, Shems FM radio reported.

In coordination with the public prosecutor’s office, the investigation was opened to prevent human trafficking, to arrest the mother of the baby and to refer the employee for investigation, continuing to make the other parties heard by the security units.
