Fire Engulfs Cara Delevingne’s Home in Los Angeles
British actress and model Cara Delevingne expressed her profound shock on Friday at the loss of her Los Angeles home due to a major fire that fortunately caused no injuries.
According to Agence France-Presse, the 31-year-old star wrote in a post on the social media platform Instagram: “I can’t believe it. Life can turn upside down in an instant, so cherish what you have.”
The star, who was not at home when the fire broke out on Thursday night, added: “A huge thank you from the bottom of my heart to the firefighters and the people who came to help.”
Two people inside the large 750-square-meter house managed to escape the flames, as did the actress’s cats.
Cara Delevingne purchased the property in the Studio City neighborhood of Los Angeles in 2019 for seven million dollars.
The fire engulfed most of the building, from the ground floor to the roof, according to aerial images broadcast on Friday by American media, despite the involvement of about one hundred firefighters in efforts to extinguish it.
