Wedding in Mexico Turns Into Disaster
A wedding in Mexico ended disastrously after most of the guests were hospitalized following dinner.
According to the Mexican newspaper “Proceso,” 80 out of 100 guests at the wedding suffered food poisoning after dinner and had to be taken to the hospital.
One of the guests, named Aranza Rodriguez, stated that the wedding took place on Saturday night and she was transported to the hospital where she was treated for a “bacterial infection.” She added that the wedding began at 4 p.m., and dinner was served at 6 p.m.
After eating dinner, guests started experiencing symptoms such as headaches, stomach pains, vomiting, and diarrhea.
Rodriguez explained that she consumed her dinner around 10 p.m. when the ambulances arrived at the scene, despite signs showing that guests were falling ill.
She noted that she “didn’t specifically remember which meal caused the symptoms,” but observed that the wild mushrooms had a very strong chemical taste.
80 people were treated for food poisoning symptoms and stayed in the hospital for about 5 hours before leaving.
