A new important discovery for an anti-aging drug
A recent study has found that the use of anti-aging medications can alleviate spinal column pain, which is a common cause of lower back pain.
The research paper published in the journal “Science Tech Daily” explained that the drug “Navitoclax,” prescribed for age-related diseases, also provides treatment for lower back pain.
Scientists conducted study experiments on mice, targeting inactive cells within the spinal columns. They found evidence of the drug’s effectiveness on damaged cells, thus reducing pain.
The researchers concluded that “Navitoclax” targets bone-eating cells and reduces sensitivity in the spinal column.
The researchers stated, “When these cells become dormant and fail to perform their functions properly, problems arise in the restructuring and repair of bones.”
Researchers believe that testing slow-aging drugs for spinal column pain requires additional evaluation before starting clinical trials.
