Bad luck… a scorpion bites a lady in the air

Air India has said that a woman on its flight was stung by a scorpion on a flight from Nagpur to Mumbai.

In a statement to the Press Trust of India, the airline called it “a very rare and unfortunate incident.”

The airline said it had previously encountered cases of rats or birds on its flights, but in this rare incident there was a “traveler’s scorpion” on its flight.

The woman was treated in hospital and later left without problems.

An Indian Airlines spokesman told ASEAN News: “On landing, the passenger was treated in hospital, and our officials escorted the passenger to the hospital and gave all the support.”

After landing in Mumbai, officials searched the entire aircraft and eventually located the scorpion.

The airline said the aircraft was then fully smoked in accordance with the protocol.
