Amid heightened regional momentum and increasing international pressure to complete US President Donald Trump’s plan for peace in Gaza, reports have brought to the forefront a proposed formation of a committee tasked with administering the territory.
According to Palestinian media, the final composition of the Gaza technocratic committee has been approved, and its first meeting is scheduled to take place on Thursday at the headquarters of the US Embassy in Cairo.

On Tuesday, a Palestinian official said that there is anticipation of upcoming US announcements regarding Gaza in the coming days, amid ongoing consultations in Cairo concerning the administration committee.
The official, who requested anonymity, said he expects an announcement from the United States on Wednesday evening regarding the formation of a Peace Council and the Palestinian technocratic committee in Gaza.
He added: “Preliminary information suggests the announcement will be made on Wednesday evening, but it may be delayed.”
