Egypt… Electricity Company warns against “using elevators” at this time
The Egyptian Holding Company for Electricity issued a statement on Saturday warning citizens against “using elevators” at midnight “to ensure their safety,” as part of the measures taken to protect citizens from power outages in the current period.
The statement from the Egyptian Holding Company for Electricity stated: “Dear citizens, the load reduction program is being implemented according to the required capacities for each control station, taking into consideration that the disconnection will start for a period of 10 minutes before the hour, and 10 minutes after it.”
It also pointed out that “the duration of disconnection will not exceed one hour from the time of disconnection.”
The statement added: “We urge citizens not to use elevators during the specified period of disconnection, to ensure your safety, considering that this system will be activated starting from midnight on Saturday, July 22, 2023.”
It is not clear whether this measure is only related to Saturday night or whether it is a “system” that will be activated starting from Saturday night and will cover the coming period.
