Followed by Millions… Female Hippopotamus Causes a Stir in Thailand
The latest internet sensation in Thailand, Mo Deng, a baby hippopotamus, is creating challenges for zoo workers by drawing massive crowds to the park located two hours south of Bangkok.
The young hippopotamus has millions of fans on social media who follow her spontaneous adventures, including an attempt to bite the knee of her caretaker, even though her teeth have not yet developed.
Narongwit Chodchue, director of the Khao Kheo Open Zoo in Chonburi Province, stated: “Typically, during the weekdays and in the rainy season, which is a slow season, we receive about 800 visitors a day.”
