The escape of a tiger has caused panic in northwest Libya, on the third day of Eid al-Fitr.

Security forces announced the escape of a tiger from its owner in the city of Misrata, northwest of the country, as he attempted to photograph it.

Authorities have urged citizens to report any sightings of this wild animal.

Security units have been mobilized and rushed to search for the tiger, after receiving complaints from citizens who spotted it roaming freely in the city, but it has not been found yet.

In recent years, the breeding of wild animals in Libya has increased, with lions and tigers being seen accompanying their owners in the streets, public places, and inside residential neighborhoods.
