Houthi militia admitted death of military commander in Saada

Houthi militias on Monday admitted the death of one of their field commanders in Yemen’s eastern Al-Jawf province“.

Houthi leaders and activists loyal to the pro-Iran group named Adnan Mujahid Ahmed bin Haidar, who hails from Sufyan village in Sahar district, Saada province, northern Yemen.

Houthi militias had given Bin Haidar the rank of “brigadier general”, and the operations command of the so-called “3rd Brigade” assigned him the border guard deployed on the fronts of Saada and Al-Jawf governorates, north-eastern Yemen.

The sources speculated that Bin Haidar was killed in a coalition air strike two days ago, as warplanes carried out a series of intensive raids targeting sensitive sites for Iran-backed rebels.

“According to the sources, Bin Haidar, who joined the Houthi militias early on, was one of the group’s young extremist leaders and is the son of the governor of Al-Jawf appointed by the putschists, Faisal Bin Haidar”.

In late 2017, the Houthis appointed him Governor of Al Mahwit Province, and after completing his terrorist mission in Al Mahwit Province, the Houthis again entrusted him with an important mission in Al Jawf Province, appointing him Governor earlier this year.
