Houthi terrorism – Militia escalates crimes and violations against citizens in Yemeni Ibb
The Houthi militia escalated its attacks on civilians in the various governorates under its control, burning houses and abducting residents by force, following the killing of five of its gangs, including leaders assigned to armed robberies in a number of districts of Ibb province, while they were attempting to forcibly rape residents’ land.
Houthi terrorism
A report by Rouya revealed that the Houthi terrorist militia continues to commit crimes against civilians in Yemen’s Ibb province, known as the “Green Brigade”, and is subject to looting, killings and kidnappings.
Human rights reports revealed that militia members led by Houthi Jamal al-Mizhani looted and burned homes and displaced women and children from their homes by force of arms.
“Similar crimes have escalated in Ibb province since the Houthi militia took control of it, and its looting policies of armed robbery of civilian property.”
Violations
Ahmed Jabbari, a Yemeni human rights researcher, revealed that the Houthi militia stormed a number of houses, kidnapped civilians, and transferred some of them to their detention centers in the center of the directorate, while others were transferred to their detention centers in the city of Ibb, the capital of the province. He pointed out that Houthi violations have reached the point of terrorizing women and children by the Houthi militia during the raids, raids and kidnappings that it has carried out for days in the directorate located in the southwest of the province. He pointed out that more than 3,419 crimes were committed by the Houthi terrorist militia in Ibb in just one year.
“Similar crimes have escalated in Ibb province since the Houthi militia took control of it, and the looting policies that followed it to loot citizens’ property by force of arms, and many citizens and Houthi gunmen have been killed and wounded,” he said. “Clashes erupt from time to time over land and real estate disputes in the city, where real estate prices are the highest in Yemen.”
