Iraq’s PM visited Riyadh to discuss bilateral ties


According to what the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) stated on Wednesday, Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and Iraq’s Prime Minister Mustafa al-Kadhimi held discussions in Riyadh to talk about bilateral ties between the two parties.

The Prime Minister of Iraq Mustafa al-Kadhimi arrived today in the Kingdom’s capital city, and he welcomed by the Crown Prince at King Khalid International Airport.

Al Arabiya reported that the aim of the prime minister’s visit is to discuss the ties between the two countries and find more prospects for additional cooperation in the region.

Iraqi ambassador to Saudi Arabia Abdulaziz al-Shammari declared in a statement to Al Arabiya that Al- Kadhimi’s visit occurred at an important time to discuss and collaborate on social, political and economic domains.

The ambassador also said that the two sides work to raise their border crossings so businessmen operating in the two countries could held more important gatherings.
