Jill Biden and Anthony Fauci Under Scrutiny in Auto-Signature Investigation

As the U.S. Congress continues its investigation into former President Joe Biden’s use of auto-signatures, new names appear likely to be summoned for questioning.
Republican Senator Rand Paul revealed that former First Lady Jill Biden and former White House medical advisor Anthony Fauci may be investigated as part of the ongoing probe into the use of automated signature tools, according to The Hill.

Former President Donald Trump had previously criticized Biden for using automated signatures to issue pardons during the final months of his presidency.
In June, Trump called for an official investigation into the matter, while Republican lawmakers requested interviews with several former White House staffers to testify before the House Committee on Oversight and Reform. Some witnesses invoked the Fifth Amendment during their testimonies.

Speaking on The Cats Roundtable radio show hosted by John Catsimatidis, Rand Paul stated, “Although Anthony Fauci was pardoned, there are questions about the legitimacy of that pardon… President Biden didn’t personally sign off on it.”
He added, “It’s unclear whether Biden was even aware of the individuals being pardoned. Hundreds were being pardoned daily using an automated signature. Testimonies suggest those managing the process never spoke directly to the president, but to a staffer working for his wife.”

In response to the allegations, Biden has previously argued that the use of auto-signatures for official documents was a practice employed by previous administrations as well, implying its legality. However, Republicans remain critical of this practice, particularly when used for presidential pardons.
Paul stated, “Who would have imagined that Joe Biden wasn’t really in charge—but that the chief of staff working for his wife was running the show? Americans need to know that this person had pardon authority and could have led the country into war.”

He continued, “I think the best way to resolve this is through the courts. And the simplest way to get it there is to indict Anthony Fauci for lying to Congress—he’ll claim he was pardoned.”
Paul also pointed out that the pardon for Hunter Biden was not processed through the auto-signature system: “There’s a question of authenticity around these pardons. What’s interesting is that when it came to pardoning his own son, Biden didn’t risk using the auto-signature.”
He concluded, “The pardon for Hunter, covering alleged crimes over the past decade, was handwritten and personally signed by President Biden.”
