Morocco and the UAE Expand Their Security Partnership
The Director-General of Morocco’s National Security and Territorial Surveillance signed a memorandum of understanding with the General Command of Abu Dhabi Police during a working visit to the UAE capital, aimed at strengthening security cooperation between the two countries.
Abdellatif Hammouchi, Director-General of National Security and Territorial Surveillance, who arrived in Abu Dhabi on Monday for a visit lasting until September 26, signed the memorandum between the General Directorate of Security, represented by the Royal Police Institute, and the General Command of Abu Dhabi Police, represented by the Saif bin Zayed Academy for Police and Security Sciences. This memorandum is designed to frame police cooperation and invest in human resources in the security sector.

According to a statement from the General Directorate of National Security, “the bilateral agreement will pave the way for joint training programs and advanced training in various police fields. It will also facilitate the exchange of expertise and practical experience, utilizing the specialized capabilities of the Moroccan police and their counterparts in Abu Dhabi Police to develop and strengthen security personnel.”
The agreement will also boost cooperation in higher education related to police, security, and legal sciences, providing a stronger impetus to the collaboration between the two sides.

Security Talks Enhance Partnership Between Morocco and Spain
Strengthening operational security cooperation, increasing coordination, and exchanging expertise were at the core of the bilateral discussions between Abdellatif Hammouchi and Major General Pilot Faris Khalaf Al Mazrouei, General Commander of Abu Dhabi Police.
Hammouchi also held discussions with Ali Obaid Al Dhaheri, Head of the UAE National Intelligence Agency, covering various security issues, including the security situation and emerging threats in the regional and international environment.
