New James Bond movie… sold 175 thousand tickets before the grand opening
London-based Odeon Cinema Management said that it sold more than 175,000 tickets to the James Bond movie (No Time to Die).
The latest James Bond series film will start showing this week after being postponed several times due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Odeon, owned by the US company AMC, said that the number of viewers in its UK cinemas is 10% higher than before the pandemic, supported by increased demand for the 25th James Bond film.
Odeon said: “The new James Bond film is expected to see the biggest opening in Odeon’s viewing houses since the summer of 2019.”
“The film, in which actor Daniel Craig plays the famous intelligence officer, was delayed at least three times from its original date in April 2020 with the spread of the coronavirus that has forced cinemas to close around the world.”
