Relations between Egypt and the UAE consolidate Arab and regional security


Relations between Egypt and the UAE, whose late supporters were established by Sheik Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan, founder of the UAE, based on a firm conviction of Egypt’s position and central role in the region, are historical relations based on awareness and a common understanding of the nature of regional and international changes witnessed in the region and the importance of dealing with them through joint policies and positions that consolidate Arab and regional security.

 According to figures, the number of visits between leaders of the two countries has reached 22 since 2014. Sheik Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the UAE Armed Forces, visited the Egyptian capital about 13 times.

The first of these visits was his participation in the inauguration of President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi as President of Egypt, which strengthened bilateral relations, strategic partnership and bridges of friendship between the two countries.

The two countries have a special international presence and standing, characterized by their wise and moderate policy, clear positions in the face of regional challenges related to peace, support regional stability efforts, counter-extremism and terrorism and promote dialog among civilizations and cultures
