Madame Sweet advised, “Here’s the plan. Wait until you’ve finished dinner and then brush your teeth, but you should wait 30 minutes. This is because when you eat, there is a lot of acid in your mouth, which weakens the enamel. So, you should wait until it hardens again before brushing your teeth.”

She also warned against snacking after brushing your teeth as it could soften the enamel once again.
