They Argued Online… He Traveled to Kill Him

A young man in the United States decided to travel from New Jersey to Florida to take revenge on another man after an online argument over a competition in a video game.

Edward Kang, 20 years old, planned to kill the victim. He stayed in a hotel in Florida, then bought a hammer and a flashlight, and headed to his rival’s house, whose identity has not been disclosed.

According to CBS, the police revealed that the suspect entered his rival’s house through the front door, which was found to be unlocked, then went upstairs to his room and started hitting him on the head with the hammer.

When the victim started screaming, his stepfather woke up, intervened to save him, and called the police.

The police arrived and found blood in the entrance of the house and the victim’s room. They transported both the victim and the attacker to the hospital. The victim suffers from serious head injuries but is not life-threatening, while the attacker was taken to jail and faces charges of attempted murder and armed burglary.

The suspect did not reveal the full reasons for his crime, claiming during the interrogations that “the victim is a bad person on the internet,” before asking how long he would spend in jail before returning home.
