Tunisian President: Is committed to respect the constitution and the independence of the judiciary

Tunisian President kais Saied stressed on Monday evening his keenness on respecting the constitution, the independence of the judiciary and imposing the law on everyone.

This came during his meeting at the Carthage Palace with Youssef Bouzakher, Chairman of the Supreme Judicial Council, Malika Al-Mazari, member of the Supreme Judicial Council and President of the Judicial Council, and Abdul Karim Rajeh, member of the Supreme Judicial Council and Vice President of the Administrative Judicial Council.

kais Saied stressed respect for the constitution and its requirements, imposing the law on everyone and ensuring the independence of the judiciary at this critical stage in the country’s history. He also renewed his call for Tunisians and Tunisians not to fall behind advocates of chaos.

Earlier, the Tunisian President said that the lies propagated by the Muslim Brotherhood movement, Ennahdha, about the decisions he made were not true, pointing out that they were in implementation of the constitution, and not a coup.

He Saied that there are those who turned the revolution into a spoil and sought to steal the will of the people, and I call on everyone to remain calm and not be dragged behind provocations and rumors, because I do not want to shed one drop of blood, and the law must be applied to everyone.

He added, ”We are living in difficult circumstances and I will bear full responsibility to satisfy the people. The situation in some institutions has reached an unacceptable level, and there are those who seek to bomb the state from within”.

He explained that many files in all sectors are being run on the basis of loyalty to a certain party, and I have notified the outgoing Prime Minister and the Speaker of the House of Representatives of the exceptional measures that I have taken.

kais Saied warned of the most serious threat to states and societies from the explosion and internal fighting, stressing that these were not coup leaders, but I will not leave the Tunisian state at stake.
