Turkey supplies the occupation army with these requirements… This is how the government conceals its exports to Israel
Social media widely circulated videos yesterday showing Turkish clothing shipments intended for the Israeli army being unloaded by some soldiers.
These videos sparked anger and condemnation among activists who asserted that Erdogan‘s statements in support of the Palestinian cause do not reflect his country’s true stance towards the Zionist entity. They argued that Erdogan and his government provide many necessities to the army that commits massacres.
In the same context, Turkish Felicity Party parliamentarian Najm al-Din Shalishkan accused the government of working to conceal the destinations of commercial ships leaving for Israel.
During his participation in a television program, Shalishkan mentioned that gunpowder is among the top 5 Turkish exports to Israel. However, “they began to forge documents, changing the ship’s destination after it leaves the ports. A friend of mine, a member of the ruling Justice and Development Party, informed me of this,” according to the Turkish newspaper Zaman.
Shalishkan criticized the government’s refusal to sever trade relations with Israel, saying: “Friends from the ruling party tell me that they are protesting… In reality, three times your number gathered in London and Amsterdam, showing the same reaction. The more effective action is to cut the support you provide.”
According to data from the Turkish Statistical Institute’s trade system, Turkey’s exports to Israel have increased since October last year, with the beginning of the aggression on Gaza. Exports increased by 29% compared to the same month of the previous year.
