Typhoon “Gaemi” Claims 20 Lives in the Philippines
Twenty people have died due to the heavy rains accompanying Typhoon “Gaemi” in the Philippines, while debris removal and damage repair operations continue, according to a new police report on Thursday.
The fatalities occurred in Manila and the surrounding provinces of the capital due to floods, landslides, electrocutions, and falling trees during the heavy rains that fell on Wednesday on Luzon Island, the country’s most populous island.

Typhoon “Gaemi” struck Taiwan directly on Wednesday night and is currently heading towards eastern China, according to Agence France-Presse.
