UAE condemns Houthi attempts to target Saudi Arabia

The United Arab Emirates has strongly condemned attempts by Al-Houthi militias to target Saudi Arabia with a booby-trapped drone intercepted by coalition forces.

The UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation said on Sunday that the continuation of the Houthi terrorist attacks reflects its blatant defiance of the international community and its disregard for all international laws and norms.

According to the Emirates News Agency (WAM), the UAE Foreign Ministry urged in a statement the international community to take an immediate and decisive stance to stop these repeated acts that target vital and civilian installations, the kingdom’s security, energy supplies and the stability of the global economy.

The UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs noted that the recent continuation of these attacks is a dangerous escalation and a new indication that these militias are seeking to undermine security and stability in the region.

The statement reiterated the UAE’s full solidarity with Saudi Arabia in the face of these terrorist attacks and its support for all measures taken to preserve the security and safety of its citizens and residents.

The statement stressed that the security of the United Arab Emirates and that of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia are indivisible and that any threat or danger facing the Kingdom is considered by the State as a threat to its security and stability.
