UAE President attends brotherly consultative “El Alamein meeting” in Egypt


President of the United Arab Emirates Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan attended, on Monday, the “El Alamein Consultative Fraternal Meeting” called by Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi.

The fraternal consultative “Meeting of El Alamein” was held with the participation of King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa of Bahrain and King Abdullah II bin Hussein of Jordan, the Emirates News Agency reported.

During the meeting, which took place in the city of El Alamein in the Egyptian province of Marsa Matruh, the leaders discussed brotherly relations and various aspects of cooperation and joint work, especially in the field of economic and development partnerships and ways of developing them.

In this context, the leaders reiterated their support for any effort aimed at consolidating the foundations of peace, stability and joint cooperation at all levels, which are based on trust, mutual respect and common interests, in order to achieve the aspirations of all peoples of the region for progress, prosperity and development.

During their fraternal meeting, the leaders reviewed and exchanged views on a number of issues and the latest regional and international developments.

The leaders of the brotherly countries stressed the mutual keenness to continue fraternal consultations in a way that promotes stability, progress and prosperity in the region.

Mubarak hosted a luncheon attended by Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed al-Nahyan, King Hamad bin Isa al-Khalifa and King Abdullah II.
