‘Compassion for Gaza’ continues its activities in the UAE to aid the Palestinian people
The “Compassion for Gaza” campaign continues its efforts to aid the Palestinian people. On Sunday, a community volunteer initiative was launched at the Union Arena on Yas Island in Abu Dhabi to prepare relief packages, with the participation of volunteers from various regions of the country and many organizations.
The UAE Red Crescent Authority renewed its call to citizens and residents in the country to participate extensively in the community initiative, which will continue for weeks, embodying the humanitarian values of the UAE society.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs oversees the implementation of the “Compassion for Gaza” campaign in coordination with the Ministry of Community Development, in collaboration with the UAE Red Crescent Authority and the World Food Programme, with the participation of 20 charitable and humanitarian organizations.
Since its launch on October 15th, the “Compassion for Gaza” campaign has succeeded in preparing thousands of in-kind aid packages during its four community events organized in Abu Dhabi, Dubai, and Sharjah. These efforts are part of the UAE’s initiatives to alleviate the humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip and reduce the suffering of the most vulnerable groups, especially children, who make up about half of the population in the region, and women.
The “Compassion for Gaza” campaign aims to show solidarity with Palestinian children and families affected by the ongoing conflict by providing basic necessities for children and women, as well as health and general hygiene supplies.
