Euronews: Humanitarian Aid Reaches Gaza, Desperation Grips Palestinians
The Israeli army announced it would establish a new safe corridor to deliver aid to southern Gaza, but days later, the “tactical pause” has brought little relief to Palestinians, according to the European network Euronews.
Despair and Frustration in Gaza
The agency reported that there is growing despair in Gaza, where aid routes for delivering food and water to millions of displaced Palestinians have become “unusable” according to the United Nations.
On Sunday, Israel promised to adhere to a daily ceasefire along the route from Kerem Shalom — the only operational aid crossing for the southern sector — to the nearby city of Khan Yunis.
The so-called “tactical pause” was supposed to allow the creation of a new safe corridor to deliver aid to southern Gaza, but it has so far brought little relief to Palestinians.
Truck Congestion
The European network added that thousands of trucks loaded with aid are piled up, ready for delivery. However, according to a UN official who spoke on condition of anonymity, groups of armed Israeli men regularly block the convoys.

Meanwhile, according to local media, the Israeli army announced the deaths of two more soldiers who were reportedly killed during a Hamas attack in central Gaza on Thursday, bringing the total number of Israeli military casualties to 314 since the start of the Israeli ground operation in the Gaza Strip.
