The police stated that around 200 personnel, several drones, helicopters, and rescue dogs participated in the search and rescue efforts after heavy rains on Friday caused floods in the Mesolcina Valley in the Graubünden region.
Three people were reported missing, and local police chief William Cloter told reporters that the body of one of the missing individuals was found in one of the rivers.
The water level due to the rains on Friday reached 124 millimeters, with 63 millimeters falling within just one hour.
Several rivers in the Mesolcina Valley overflowed, flooding roads, fields, and villages with debris, mud, and wood. Three houses were buried due to landslides.
