Signs of Major Disputes between the Muslim Brotherhood and the Houthis… Details

Despite meetings, communications, and mutual support between the Al-Islah party, the Muslim Brotherhood‘s arm in Yemen, and the terrorist Houthi militias, signs of disagreements and new crises are beginning to surface, particularly regarding prisoners on both sides.

These disputes became apparent through statements made by Abdelkader Al-Murtada, a Houthi leader posing as the head of the Prisoner Committee in Sanaa. He stated that “the other side, especially the Al-Islah party in Marib, is showing poor and selective behavior in choosing prisoners,” adding that “mercenaries do not care about the fate of their prisoners, while the Israeli enemy places great importance on its captives!”

Al-Murtada also noted that “the other side is politically exploiting the prisoner issue,” expressing hope that “the other side will respond positively and humanely to the initiative to release its prisoners and take similar steps,” according to a statement reported by Al-Masirah channel.

Meanwhile, the Muslim Brotherhood in Yemen, represented by the Al-Islah party, is currently leading campaigns calling for military escalation against the Houthis, even predicting the imminent recapture of the capital Sanaa by force of arms. A few days ago, a party official met with several leaders at the Hamas headquarters in Sanaa.
