Brotherhood members fled to Turkey after the decision to extradite 15 members over to Egypt and UAE

Muslim Brotherhood members who fled to Turkey are in a state of anxiety and anticipation following the Turkish authorities decision to extradite 15 Brotherhood members convicted of terrorist crimes to Egypt and the United Arab Emirates in October, after consultations and talks between the parties, a Turkish website reported.

Turkey24 said that the Muslim Brotherhood had failed to seize power in many Arab countries over the past ten years, causing Ankara to lose hope in this group, on which Erdogan relied to destabilize Egypt, Libya, Syria and other countries, after being certain that the Brotherhood was unable to gain power.

Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu said that his country had initiated diplomatic contacts with Egypt, both through intelligence and foreign relations, adding that there was no reason not to improve relations with the UAE.

“In recent weeks, it has been noted that Turkey has stepped up quiet statements towards Egypt and the UAE, looking to re-establish ties after years of hostility in a broader strategic shift to counter Turkey’s growing isolation, political analysts said.”

Sources revealed that some members of the terrorist Muslim Brotherhood left Turkey during their visit to European countries, while others are preparing to leave the country within days, after the leaders of the international organization informed them of the intention of the Turkish authorities to hand them over to Egypt and the United Arab Emirates, within the framework of reviving the stalled negotiations file between the two countries.

If the more than 20,000 Brotherhood members do not leave Turkey after the agreement, all their property will be confiscated, the Turkish newspaper said.
