A mathematician lists the greatest soccer players in history

A mathematician at the famed University of Oxford named the greatest player in the history of football, based on a number of data and indicators.

Oxford mathematician Dr. Tom Crawford unveiled a list of the top 10 men players ever in the world of football by looking at seven different factors.

According to ”The Sun”, the indicators he chose to select the greatest player in history were the goals scored with the clubs where the players played, club titles, international goals, international titles, Golden Globe Awards, individual records and the productivity standard known as “Factor Z”.

Portugal’s Cristiano Ronaldo was at the top of the list of greatest players, after mathematicians identified those who won the “Golden Ball” at least twice, and applied the remaining scores to 13 players, selecting the top ten.

Ronaldo leads the league with 537 out of 700 points, 34 points ahead of Barcelona and Argentina legend Lionel Messi.

Brazilian legend Pele came in third, while Hungarian Ferenc Puskás came in fourth.

Brazilian Ronaldo was fifth, followed by Dutch Marco van Basten and Argentine Alfredo di Stefano.

French Michel Platini finished in eighth place, Argentine Diego Maradona came in ninth, and Dutch Johan Cruyff in tenth.
