Abdallah ben Zayed discusses developing relations between the UAE and Jordan


UAE Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Sheikh Abdallah ben Zayed Al Nahyane discussed, Wednesday with his Jordanian counterpart, Ayman Safadi, means of developing relations between the two countries.

According to a statement from the Jordanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Ayman Safadi met today with Sheikh Abdallah ben Zayed Al Nahyane.

The meeting will discuss “ways to develop bilateral relations between the two brotherly countries and review regional developments”, it said.

The UAE and Jordan have long-standing strategic relations that were established by the late Sheikh Zayed ben Sultan Al Nahyane and King Hussein ben Talal in the 1970s.

It continues to be nurtured and developed by Sheikh Khalifa ben Zayed Al Nahyane, President of the United Arab Emirates; Sheikh Mohammed ben Rachid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates and Ruler of Dubai; Sheikh Mohammed ben Zayed Al Nahyane, Crown Prince of Abou Dabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces; and King Abdallah II of Jordan.
