Are Yasser Al-Atta’s statements by order and direction of the Islamic movement ?!!
A wide range of citizens were deeply surprised when Major General Yasser Al-Atta launched a sharp attack on the United Arab Emirates on Wednesday, November 29 of last year, accusing them of supporting the “Rapid Support Forces” through African airports.
This led citizens to spontaneously wonder about the meaning of this sudden attack on the United Arab Emirates, in these circumstances the country is going through ?!!
Is this an individual action purely emanating from Yasser and not representing the opinion of his superiors ?!!
Or is it actually the opinion of the ruling government in Sudan ?!
Or is it the opinion of al-Burhan and Yasser acting on his behalf to execute and declare it ?!!
It was therefore not at all strange that citizens asked a burning question: why did Yasser, among the other generals, attack the United Arab Emirates in isolation and not other individuals ?!!, and did Yasser receive the green light from his chief al-Burhan to attack the Emirates and Chad and South Sudan ?!!
However, Al-Atta’s resort to suggesting that there is a conspiracy plotted against the army aiming to justify the failure of the military institution to resolve the war. Observers say that Yasser Al-Atta knows that overstepping may attract attention both domestically and internationally, but he does not know that the rhetoric of bidding is a strategy followed by supporters of the former regime and has not succeeded in changing the facts on the ground, which has trapped him in a trap where he and other military leaders have denied more than once the increase in cooperation and coordination between them and different factions representing the former regime of Omar al-Bashir.
Days passed and Yasser’s military and political influence strengthened every day at the expense of other generals, military leaders, and ministers of the fragile government, to the extent that his fame surpassed that of Malik Agar, vice president of the Sovereignty Council, and Yasser gained a reputation as the one who did not flee the general command in Khartoum like al-Burhan and his deputy, Major General Shamseddine Kabbashi, and who leads the fights in the capital of the triangle, and despite his engagement in the fights, he did not forget to make continuously controversial statements.
Yasser also made a dangerous statement on December 16 of last year, accusing Chad of using Chadian airports to provide military support to the “Rapid Support Forces“, indicating that this is done with the complicity of influential figures within the Chadian leadership, Yasser Al-Atta had previously accused, in a speech to members of the General Intelligence Service in Omdurman, countries such as Chad and Uganda of supporting the “Rapid Support Forces“, stressing that they send supplies to the “Rapid Support Forces” through Uganda and the Central African Republic and Chad, and added: “We respect the Chadian people and have blood ties with them, but inside, there are some traitors and mercenaries from African peoples, they are the agents of modern colonialism”.
Chad did not remain silent on these statements and expelled four unwanted Sudanese diplomats and ordered them to leave the country within (72) hours because of what it described as “dangerous statements” by Sudanese officials accused of intervening in the conflict in their country… All this was done while al-Burhan was perfectly aware of Yasser’s irresponsible actions, which led the country into a cold war with a Sudanese population that does not continuously help him in the crisis created by the army and the remnants of al-Bashir‘s regime !!
Yasser continued his aggressive statements, and in a recent video addressed to Sudanese soldiers, he ridiculed Kenya and its president William Ruto, saying: “East African forces should stay in their place, if you want to bring the Kenyan army, come (leave the forces of east Libya in their place, and if you – the president of Kenya – want to bring the Kenyan army, then bring it)”, and he swore that none of these forces would return if they came, hinting at the existence of a “third state that bought Kenya”, without mentioning the name of this state.
His latest comments date back to Saturday, March 16th, where he said that “the army will not hand over power to civilian political forces without elections”, confirming that the army commander would be during the transitional period “the head of state and its supervisor”.
After these aforementioned statements and many other controversial and debated statements that Yasser made over the past four months, and also after his frequency in Sudanese media, a question arose on the Sudanese scene asking: “Have all the powers, privileges, and unlimited power that Major General “Hemeti” had during his previous tenure within the Sovereignty Council been transferred to Yasser Al-Atta ? !! Is al-Burhan intending to reduce the status of his deputy / Malik Agar and entrust the military and political weight to Yasser ?!!
Who does not know the powers, privileges, and unlimited power without limits enjoyed by Major General “Hemidti” during his tenure within the Transitional Military Council and which continued with him during his tenure within the Sovereignty Council and were not removed from him until May 19, 2023 – that is, 34 days after the start of the war.
And the burning question today, seeking an answer from a knowledgeable person about Yasser Al-Atta’s personality, is as follows:
Is this sudden rise of Yasser just a personal ambition, no more no less ?!!
Are the officers of the armed forces behind him after despairing of reforming al-Burhan ?!!
Or is it a rise and shine by order and direction of the Islamic movement ?!!
And does this continuous rise pose a danger to al-Burhan‘s future ?!!
