Humanity is in danger… NASA sets the date for the collision of the “Lost Asteroid” with Earth

The American space agency NASA has revealed the possible date for the collision of the “lost” asteroid with the planet Earth this year.

The space rock “2007 FT3” was observed 16 years ago and officially known as the “Lost Asteroid.” NASA has identified about 89 potential impacts starting from October 3, 2024, to October 4, 2119.

The British newspaper “Mirror” reported that the probability of the “Lost Asteroid 2007 FT3” colliding with Earth is about 1 in 11.5 million, and this collision threatens human life.

On the other hand, a spokesperson for NASA told the “Standard” newspaper, “There are no known threats of asteroids impacting Earth at any time in the next century.”

He added, “Planetary scientists define the approach of asteroids within 45 million kilometers of Earth’s orbit as close approaches, and the larger the asteroid, the easier it is for planetary defense experts to locate it.”

The asteroid weighs 54 million tons, with an estimated height of 314 meters. However, it is considered small in cosmic terms. Experts believe that the asteroid that led to the extinction of dinosaurs 66 million years ago had a width of about 12 km and a weight of about a trillion tons, with an explosion force of around 10 billion atomic bombs.
