Italy: Dybala joined AS Rome to revive
“AS Roma is delighted to announce the commitment of Paulo Dybala” until June 2025, the club said in a statement, offering itself one of the most coveted players of the summer in Italy, elected best player of Serie A in 2019-2020.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the attacker is expected to earn around 6 million euros a year in the Italian capital.
Failing to play the Champions League, whose final he played in 2017 with Juve (defeat 4-1 against Real Madrid), Dybala will have to settle for the less prestigious Europa League in Rome.
But the Argentinian (28) needs to regain some sensations to hope to return to the selection for the World-2022 at the end of the year (November 21-December 18) in Qatar, after missing the Copa América won by Argentina in 2021 due to his poor form.
At AS Rome, victorious in May of the first edition of the Europa Conference League, Dybala will be under the orders of experienced Portuguese coach José Mourinho, who hopes to do better than sixth place of Serie A won in 2021-2022, reports France 24.
