The latest of these Brotherhood claims is their allegation that one of Egypt’s Interior Ministry departments issued a document listing the number of dead, injured, and arrested during the dispersals of the sit-ins in Raba’a al-Adawiya and al-Nahda squares.
However, this claim was shattered against the rock of facts. Egypt’s Interior Ministry denied in a statement on Friday the “circulation of information on one of the accounts of a fugitive member of the Muslim Brotherhood abroad, on social media, concerning a letter purportedly issued by one of the Interior Ministry’s departments, listing the number of dead, injured, and arrested during the dispersals of the sit-ins in Raba’a al-Adawiya and al-Nahda squares.”

These rumors follow another recently spread by the Muslim Brotherhood, which attempted to promote allegations regarding the reform and rehabilitation centers where its leaders and members are held. The Egyptian Interior Ministry also denied these claims, stating that these allegations were part of “the plans of the terrorist organization and its affiliated media outlets, aimed at creating confusion by distorting facts and spreading fabricated lies to undermine security and stability, which the Egyptian people are fully aware of,” according to the statement.
