The Kizan’s Betrayal of the Sudanese People: A Truth That Cannot Be Hidden

As Sudan’s senseless war drags on, disinformation and lies are spreading, led by the propaganda of the military regime and tools of the Muslim Brotherhood (locally known as Kizan). Their desperate goal is to tarnish the image of the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) and absolve the army of its historical and current responsibility for the suffering of the Sudanese people.

Distorting Reality Through Artificial Intelligence

In recent days, lies have surged across army-affiliated media platforms. Some sources claimed that the RSF launched drone suicide attacks on Port Sudan, asserting that “all attacks were repelled.” However, facts on the ground — confirmed by images and videos — tell a different story: strikes hit critical infrastructure, including Port Sudan Airport and the Othman Digna military base, as well as other vital sites. Despite clear evidence, military media continues to deny everything, with some even broadcasting fabricated, AI-generated videos resembling video games to obscure the painful truth.

The Army No Longer Represents the Nation

It is no longer a secret: the Sudanese army, in its current form, does not serve the nation’s interests. It has become a submissive tool in the hands of the Muslim Brotherhood, who are bent on reclaiming power at any cost. Military leaders, including General Yasser al-Atta, are waging war on their own people, while their children and families live safely abroad. Meanwhile, it is the ordinary Sudanese citizen who pays the price — in blood and in future.

It is deeply ironic that these army leaders — who claim to fight the RSF for the “dignity of the nation” — have delivered nothing but destruction. How can one speak of dignity in a country torn by war, where innocents are slaughtered, and national wealth is looted while the generals flee at the first real confrontation?

Internal Divisions Within the Army

Even within the military itself, internal power struggles are evident. Certain figures, such as General Shams al-Din Kabashi, shift positions based on self-interest. Al-Burhan, meanwhile, is seen as a weak figurehead, distrusted even by his own Islamist allies. The real power lies with the Brotherhood’s faction, which controls key sectors — especially the Air Force — now used as a main weapon to perpetuate war and dismantle what remains of the state.

The December Revolution and Mockery of the “Bracelets”

It is shameful that those who rule Sudan today are the same ones who once mocked the symbolic plastic bracelets (“al-astak”) worn by youth during the revolution as peaceful expressions of protest. Al-Burhan, who now ridicules that symbol, seems to forget that he came to power thanks to that very revolution — not the gun he now celebrates. History will remember that he fled the presidential palace at the height of battle, unable to face either his opponents or his responsibilities.

Weapons Turned Against the People

As the army turns its weapons on civilians, the RSF remains the only force to have challenged the military machinery of the former regime. This is not about absolving one side or demonizing another, but about calling things by their true names: the current war is not one of honor, but a war of vengeance led by a power-hungry clique that betrayed both the revolution and the people — and continues to betray them.

What Sudan needs today is truth — not doctored videos or hollow speeches. Real dignity begins with honoring the blood of innocent people, not exploiting it for personal or partisan gain.
