The US and the UAE discussed tools to reduce tensions in the region
On Wednesday, and according to a statement from Secretary of State Antony Blinken’s office, the US and UAE talked about ways to reduce tensions and stop conflicts in the region.
Indeed, the talks came during a phone call between Blinken and UAE Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and the two indicated the signing of the Abraham Accords, and also the cooperation to defend the UAE against regional threats and working together to lower tensions and end conflicts.
On his part, the US diplomat saluted the recent advancement made between the Arab Quartet and Qatar. He also emphasized the opportunities ahead for the UAE to make additional contributions towards a more peaceful Middle East.
