Yemeni President expressed his rejection to repeat the Iranian experience in Yemen

Yemeni President Abdrabbuh Mansur Hadi repeated his country’s refusal of armed militias trying to repeat the Iranian experience in Yemen and called for peace via the three key reference outlines.

Indeed, Hadi’s administration backs peace efforts based on the Gulf initiative, the results of the comprehensive National Dialogue, and the relevant UN resolutions, particularly resolution 2216.

During his gathering with UN Resident Coordinator David Gressly in Riyadh, The president expressed Yemeni refusal for importing Iranian ideology to the war-torn country. This actually came as the pro-government forces interrupted Houthi attacks in the west and northwest of the oil-rich Marib governorate.

Severe confrontations continued between Iran-backed Houthi militias and armed Yemeni forces backed by the Saudi-led Arab Coalition in the governorates of Taiz and Hajjah. According to official sources, Hadi informed Gressly about humanitarian services and assistance provided to Yemen during the catastrophic consequence of the nationwide war launched by Houthi militias.

Hadi also welcomed all humanitarian efforts exerted by UN agencies, affirmed that his government is keen on facilitating the work of all humanitarian organizations actions in Yemen, promising to support the distribution of assistance to worthy beneficiaries across the country.

The Yemeni leader also condemned Houthis for taking humanitarian aid and leaving Yemeni people without nutrition.

Indeed, Houthis are accused of taking humanitarian aid that is sent by international organizations and used it for their war effort that aims to target civilians and refugees in Taiz, Marib, and Hodeidah.

Moreover, Hadi and Gressly discussed the Yemeni government efforts and its procedures in the health, education, and services sectors. They also discussed a variety of initiatives undertaken to relieve the suffering of Yemeni people. Hadi also called all international organizations to transfer their operations to the interim capital, Aden, where the UN-recognized government is placed.

They also discussed the Houthi employment of child soldiers and targeting of civilians with drones and ballistic missiles.
