Bullet Train: John Wick almost appeared in the movie with Brad Pitt!
We learn today that Keanu Reeves, the star of the saga “John Wick”, did not go very far from making a small cameo in “Bullet Train” alongside Brad Pitt. Maybe for the future?
Keanu Reeves alongside Brad Pitt in Bullet Train? It didn’t go very far! Director David Leitch and producer Kelly McCormick have indeed revealed that they have considered including the interpreter of John Wick in the credits of the action film currently in theaters. But in what role?
If Keanu Reeves had participated in Bullet Train, he would have played Barry, the therapist of Ladybug (Brad Pitt), whom the latter mentions many times but who we never see on screen. “There was talk at one point of a scene with Barry” producer Kelly McCormick recently said following a screening of the film, in remarks reported by Entertainment Weekly.
“My dream would have been to see Keanu play Barry, wouldn’t that have been great? Hey, Bullet Train 2!”, then replied tit for tat director David Leitch. Seeing Keanu Reeves in a still hypothetical Bullet Train 2 is therefore not in the realm of the impossible!
If that cameo in Bullet Train had materialized, then the general public would have witnessed two reunions. Those of Keanu Reeves with David Leitch, co-director of the first John Wick and producer of the next two opuses in the saga. But also those of the actor with Sandra Bullock (who plays a small role in Bullet Train) after the films Speed and Entre deux rives.
